So Dark a Train is a collaboration between two sisters that stretches across the western half of the United States. Cellist Nicole lives in the Los Angeles area while guitarist Amanda lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Drummer Richard Houghten has also contributed to the band's recordings.
